A
technologist and administrator in the higher education environment for the past
15 years, Theresa McGonagle Crider is an experienced project manager, collaborative team leader, and talented instructor. Theresa consults with clients in both higher education and corporate
environments, working to find technological solutions to business challenges,
while working closely with stakeholders at all levels to assure project success.
From her first work with technology training in the corporate environment (Circle
of Excellence awardee) through her current instruction of undergraduate students
as an assistant professor, Theresa understands the adult learner, and is able to customize learning—whether face-to-face or online—so that expectations for success are realized. Theresa is particularly effective in working with businesses to tailor learning experiences to maximize users' time and effort.
As a participant in the Ignatian Colleagues education and formation program for
administrators at Jesuit Colleges and Universities, Theresa's professional
development included not only administrative, budgetary, and institutional
knowledge, but also informed her interpersonal skills. Her
approach to working with her academic and business partners is one of cura
personalis, care of the person.
Recent Major Projects
Spring Hill College (Mobile, AL)
Led the design, installation, and set up of the College's intranet communication and information management portal, BadgerWeb, using Jenzabar's Internet Campus Solution (JICS). Responsible for the oversight of the portal rollout committee and its preliminary planning work; coordination with Jenzebar respresentatives, administrative database system (CX) staff, hardware technicians, and web designer; and the identification, coordination and instruction of content managers in all areas of the institution.
Coordinated the implementation of Compliance Assist! software, a comprehensive online solution for managing accreditation and compliance reporting needs in higher education institutions.
Co-facilitated implementation of Receivables and Purchase Orders (RPA) module of CX database.
Prepared documentation for and led instruction of VoIP phone system in conjunction with CIO and staff during installation and implementation project.
